Convention Assets
Droid Expo is a Star Wars convention designed with the idea that the convention itself would be run by the community, hosted by the community, for the community. It’s a Star Wars celebration that intends to celebrate the accomplishments of the fandom and provide a space where the talented individuals from the community can gather and showcase their work. Designs were made for the logo, marketing, assets, and social media accounts.

DROID EXPO LOGO
SUMMER 2024
Bellow are the various iterations of the Droid Expo logo designed to be implemented in several mediums and applications. The logo design is based on Star Wars’ astromech droids like R2-D2. The illustration itself uses zero pointed shapes, opting for rounded edges because they evoke a sense of security. The Expo aspires to be a safe and welcoming environment for all fans so it benefits from these rounded shapes. In order to distinguish itself the design utilizes a triangle shape not often seen on astromech droids and has floating components that aren’t physically connected but visually they still stay connected.
DROID EXPO PAMPHLET
A pamphlet designed for the Droid Expo convention with the purpose of informing guests what will be covered throughout the week. Contact information and socials are provided in the back as well as a QR Code for guests to scan and access the Droid Expo map. A more detailed schedule is also accessible when a guest scans the QR Code.
DROID EXPO LIGHTSABERS
This year we’ve collaborated with various lightsaber craftsmen to produce some of the best replicas. These sabers are designed with the goal of authenticity in mind, applying high levels of detail and accuracy to the replicas such as high quality material, proper weight distribution, and compatibility of the hilt with a saber to provide immersive fighting experiences.
DROID EXPO STARSHIPS
Packaging design for Starship models that would be distributed throughout the convention at various panels as a giveaway or prize. They would also be sold at the Artist alley as limited drop merchandise. The packaging artwork is designed by fans with the concept being that talented fans would be commissioned to design the packaging illustrations of the vehicles.
DROID EXPO ALUMINUM BOTTLE
Reusable aluminum bottles designed with the Droid Expo color scheme. Multiple variations of the color scheme are designed to appeal to peoples broad preferences in color.
T-SHIRTS & SWEATSHIRTS
Clothing with the Droid Expo logo mark such as t-shirts and sweatshirts for people to wear or take home as memorabilia. There are 2 main variations in the t-shirt design available, the first design implements the logo completely unchanged with only the shirts color changing while the second design has the logo merging its color into the clothes without the main outline so it’s shapes and details slightly alter depending on what shirt is purchased.
WRIST BANDS
Collectable wristbands that people will be provided at the entrance while other wristbands will only be provided at certain panels, encouraging attendance and participation in various events. Other designs will be available at the artist alley for purchase.
